Local Honey

Lucy’s Bees. Being a Beekeeper is fascinating. Honey is Nectar of the Gods. Eating honey straight from the hive, only other beekeepers share this experience. The Honey and Beeswax is kept at 35 degrees Celsius inside the Hive. Lucy extracts honey at room temperature using centrifugal force; the honey is spun out of the frames. Any large chunks of beeswax is sieved out. The honey is not heated above the natural hive temperature so can be classed as ‘Raw Honey’. The honey is also not put through a fine sieve or fine muslin, so the honey can be classed as ‘unfiltered’ as the small pollen particles that has a huge number of health benefits remain inside the honey.
